For anyone having trouble assembling the chairs

I'm writing a review because I noticed a lot of people are having trouble assembling these. I bought 6 chairs myself, and they can be assembled perfectly without having to drill extra holes or hire a carpenter, as some people here suggest. You can actually attach the legs in a few different ways:

First of all, it's important that the longest legs go at the back of the chair (the side with the backrest), which you can also see if you look closely at the photos here.

Secondly, there are two ways to overlap/cross the legs. If you assemble the cross the wrong way, the holes on the legs will NOT line up with the holes on the chair seat. So you just need to "flip" or switch the overlap. It might not look possible at first, but it is. Just try a few different positions.

So in short: longest legs always go at the back (backrest side), and just experiment a bit to find the correct way to cross the legs so everything fits smoothly.

FYI: the heavy metal cross should be attached to the holes on the legs, not sandwiched between the legs and the seat.

As for the chairs themselves: the quality is very good. However, you might find that the legs aren't all the exact same length (on 2 of my 6 chairs, one leg was a bit too short). This can easily be fixed by adding a washer or two between the seat and the shortest leg.

Prachtige Berlin-fauteuil

De fauteuil werd goed verpakt geleverd en is heel eenvoudig in elkaar te zetten. De kwaliteit van het kunstleer vind ik uitstekend. De zitting is stevig, maar comfortabel. De algehele kwaliteit is naar mijn mening erg hoog. Ik ben zeer tevreden.

Ik vind het een heel goede aankoop, want het zijn erg comfortabele en mooie krukken. Bovendien was de klantenservice uitstekend: ik had een probleem met een van de onderdelen, namelijk het hendeltje waarmee je de zitting omhoog en omlaag kunt zetten, en ze hebben het vervangen toen ik foto’s stuurde en het probleem aan hen meldde. Een echte aanrader.
